Even as the crime rate in Pennsylvania continues to drop, the number of incarcerated citizens continues to rise. John Wetzel, secretary of corrections for Pennsylvania presented “A 21st Century Penitentiary Model” on February 19 to a rapt audience in the East Parlor.

Forensic Sciences Summer Camp

In order to keep up with the interest in the area of forensic sciences that has recently exploded among young science students, Joseph Kulkosky, Ph.D., professor of biology, will expand the program for the second summer of Forensic Sciences Camp

Three CHC students were recently named Clare Boothe Luce Undergraduate Research Scholars by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE).

Even the below-freezing temperatures and nasty wind weren’t enough to dampen the spirits of the 20 girls who came out to be a part of Chestnut Hill College’s first-ever Lacrosse Clinic.

Astronomy Night

It was Einstein who said, “I never teach my pupils, I only provide the conditions in which they can learn.” In this spirit, the Franklin Institute will once again sponsor its annual nine-day, city-wide Philadelphia Science Festival from April 24 to May 2.

Students from Chestnut Hill College gathered information about internships, jobs and careers at the Career Carnival sponsored by the Career Development Department in early March. 

This April, the music department is springing into action with a lively roster of performances, from student recitals to world-renowned Steinway pianist, Young-Ah Tak. 

The popular fundraiserHeroes on the Hillreturns to Chestnut Hill College on May 2 for a second year, but this time, it comes with a twist.

Men’s Basketball Team Will Host Summer Camp
The Chestnut Hill College men’s basketball team will host a youth basketball camp August 3-7 for boys and girls aged 8 through 14 who want to learn the fundamentals of the game.
