According to Philadelphia Sinfonia, Danielle Garrett ’00 was named Principal Conductor of the Philadelphia Sinfonia Players, effective September 1.

Philadelphia Magazine mentioned Chestnut Hill College as a newcomer in the Collegiate Sprint Football League in its article that discusses the fact that Princeton University will no longer play sprint football.

CHC was listed as an All-Steinway School in Pennsylvania in The Morning Call.

Jeffrey Carroll, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science, was quoted in Generocity.org about assisting his mentee, Brandon Stokes, with his ideas of creating a social innovation network in Philadelphia. The network would help create startup businesses to help with serious social ills such as homelessness and recidivism.

Fox 43 listed CHC as one of the 50 colleges and schools across Pennsylvania participating in the “It’s on Us” campaign.

The Chestnut Hill Local included information about CHC’s Institute for Religion and Science hosting Thomas J. Reese, SJ, Ph.D., senior analyst at the National Catholic Reporter

Chestnut Hill College and Robert Meyer, Ph.D., professor of biology, were mentioned in Milestones Newspaper, for their collaboration with Germantown’s Senior Environmental Corps.
