Residence Hall Breaks & Closings

Residence halls close for fall break on Friday, October 9, at 6 p.m. Students who live more than five hours or 300 miles away, competing fall athletes or those doing student teaching may stay if they complete a Break Housing Application. The residence halls re-open on Tuesday, October 13, at noon. Classes resume on Wednesday, October 14.

Residence halls close for Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, November 24, at 6 p.m. and re-open on Sunday, November 29, at noon. The same criteria listed above are in place.

Residence halls close for winter break on Friday, December 11, at 6 p.m. and re-open on Sunday, January 17, at noon.

Break Housing Applications must be completed by the student on the MYCHC portal on www.chc.edu.

Please make the appropriate travel plans to meet the date and time parameters to avoid added fees.

Residence Life Care Package Program

Many families elected to send their student a welcome care package and arranged for several to be delivered throughout the year. If you missed this opportunity, you can still make arrangements.
